“Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Portrait Drawing*”
*But Were Afraid to Ask…
If you’ve struggled over the years to make a decent likeness, this is the learning hack your portrait-loving soul has been waiting for. In PEG’s November 18 workshop, artist RA Friedman will host a lively inquiry into the problems, pitfalls, and rabbit-holes portrait artists fall into and how to get back on the right path. We’ll look at a number of ways to create a portrait drawing including drawing without any kind of reference! Bring your favorite drawing materials. Pencil, paper, graphite sticks and a kneadable eraser are recommended. Feel free to bring your portrait drawings too.
RA Friedman (she/they) is an instructor in portrait/figure drawing in the CE Programs of PA Academy of Fine Arts and Pratt Manhattan as well as Main Line Art Center, Community Arts Center of Wallingford, and Mural Arts.
Date/Time: Nov 18th 6-8pm
Hosted at PEG 706 South Street.
